Department of CD, WD & SW observed World Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April, 2016 at Sisir Mancha, Kolkata. Smt. RoshniSen, IAS, Secretary, Department of CD, WD & SW inaugurated the programme. Smt. Ranu Bhattacharya, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, West Bengal welcomed the guests and participants. Dr. D.G. Mukherjee, Head, Department of Psychiatry, R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital, Resource Person for the programme discussed various aspects of Autism. Parents, guardians and Special Educators took active participation in discussions. 400 persons with disabilities, parents, Special Educators from 26 NGOs participated in the programme. Followed by CulturalProgramme by persons with Autism.
