Department of WD & SW allotted Rs. 68.90 lakh under the Scheme. Account payee Cheques of Rs. 10,000/- each in favour of 689 beneficiaries have been disbursed. The ERG Scheme is being implemented Centrally by the office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities on the basis of applications received from the Districts, recommendation of the State Screening Committee and finally approval of the State Sanctioning Committee.
Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped, Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India trained 517 PwDs during 2014-15 out of which 243 are wage employed and 163 are self employed.
